Last night Dissaster, Liz, and I watched a sneak preview of Hotel Rwanda at the Broadway Center Theater in S.L.C. I rate it 4 (out of 5) stars. Hotel Rwanda is the true story of a man who invited more than 1,000 refugees to stay in his hotel during a period in which nearly 1 million people were killed in Rwanda.
A decade after violent ethnic struggle exploded in Rwanda, resulting in the deaths of nearly a million Rwandans, and the mass exodus of millions more, the country is still beset by poverty and need. You can help the United Nations Foundation help those who are suffering by making a donation at the U.N.'s International Fund for Rwanda website.
